Free Sessions Set In Shelby

ENGAGED — The engagement of Miss Teresa Mae Kiser to Ray
Hillard Willis is announced by her mother, Mrs. Sybil Kiser Hamrick
of Kings Mountain. Miss Kiser is a 1978 graduate of Kings Mountain
Senior High School and is employed by Gastonia Coca Cola Bottling
Co. The prospective bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Willis of
Kings Mountain, is a graduate of Burns High School and is employed
by L&R Oil Company Phillips 66 Station in Kings Mountain. The
wedding will be an event of Dec. 14th at 3:30 p.m. in Kings
Mountain’s First Baptist Church.

Free business counseling ses
sions for persons in the
Cleveland County area will be
held Dec. 13 at the Shelby
Chamber of Commerce.
The sessions are offered
throughout the year by Western
Carolina University’s Center for
Improving Mountain Living and
co-sponsored by the Shelby
Benefit
Saturday
Young Adults of Central
United Methodist Church will
sponsor the annual Country
Ham Breakfast Saturday.
Serving will begin at 6 a.m.
and continue until 11 a.m. in the
church fellowship hall.
A breakfast plate of country
ham, eggs, grits, biscuits and cof
fee will be available at $3 or take
out orders of three country ham
biscuits at S3 are also available
to the interested public.
Chamber of Commerce.
One-hour appointments are
available from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
for the December session. A
counselor will be available dur
ing that time to answer questions
in the areas of marketing,
finance, sales, advertising, going
into business, accounting, small
business loans, government
financing and franchises.
Counselor for the sessions will be
Kevin Hall.

ments may be made by calling
the Shelby Chamber of Com
merce at 487-8521.
Other counseling sessions in
December scheduled by the
WCU center will be in Morgan-
ton, Rutherfordton, North
Wilkesboro and Hendersonville.
The sessions are made possible
throughout the 28 western-most
counties of North Carolina by a
grant from the Economic
Development Administration.

ENGAGED — Mr. and Mrs. John Oates Plonk of Kings Mountain

to Robert David Strachan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Strachan of Ir
