The outstanding senior player was Kim “Mess" Moss. The senior cheerleaders were Dale Green, Barry Morrow, Craig Roberts, SCOGGINS David Rhea, Boo Robinson, Mark Scruggs, Roy Lewis, Toas- ty Hardin, Timmy Gaddy, Steve Gnandt, Trent Thomasson and Cdndlelight Rites On Nov. 22 Unite Miss Hendrick, Jerry Ware (From Pag* 7-A) neckline and contour bodice and long sleeves, had wide cuffs of lace at the wrist. The column skirt was finished with triple bands of matching lace at the hemline. Her mantilla of English tulle and Cluny lace was caught to a lace Camelot cap and she carried a white Bible topped with a white orchid surrounded with a bouquet of mixed Fall flowers. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Forest Whisnant, Jr. of Shelby. He is a 1969 graduate of Shelby High School and a 1974 graduate of Gardner Webb College, receiving his M. Ed. degree from UNCC. He is employed by the Kings Moun tain District School System. After the wedding rehearsal on Wednesday evening the bride’s parents hosted a cakecut ting in the Fellowship Hall of the church. of Shelby and Mrs. Jim Fitts of Six Mile, S.C. All the attendants wore for mal length gowns of Bumtwood polyester designed with jewel necklines with soft folds creating a draped effect in the back. They carried bouquets of mixed Fall flowers. The bridegroom’s father was best man. Groomsmen were John Ware II, of Shelby, brother of the bridegroom, Steve Davis, Gerald Wilson, Ricky Jones, Marty Bradley, all of Shelby, and Woody Lovelace of Boone. The Fall theme of the wed ding was beautifully featured in the reception held after the ceremony in the church fellowship hall and hosted by the bride’s family. BRIDE AND BRIDEGROOM Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Hen drick of Shelby are parents of the bride who is a 1979 graduate of Crest High School and attended Isothermal College. She is employed by Belk’s of Forest Ci ty. She is granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stough Hendricks and Mr. and Mrs. Husom Scruggs, all of Shelby. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Ware of Shelby and grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Frank C. Ware of Kings Mountain and Mrs. Hannah Jones of Shelby. He is a 1977 graduate of Crest High School and attended Catawba Valley Technical Institute for two years. He is employed by Duke Power Company in Mooresboro. The newlyweds have returned from a wedding trip to Gatlin- burg, Tennessee and are at home on Route 3, Shelby. The Key Club will sell SI.00 raffle tickets for a turkey, and will donate the profits to a needy family. The sponsor of the club is Mr. Allen Dixon, and club of ficers are Jeff Lineberger, presi dent; Dale Green, vice-president; and Todd Blalock, secretary treasurer. The Interclub Council, an organization of all club presidents, headed by the Vice- President of the SPO, Richie Land, met last week for the dicussion of assemblies and then- costs. The SPO (Student Participa tion Organization) met Tuesday for the discussion and planning of the cost of a magic ^ow for the student body. Members decided to charge each student a 25 cent admission fee. The Journalism Staff sold out of the Thanksgiving Edition of Th* Mountain**r which featured Thanksgiving poetry and puzzles for entertainment. The Editor of Th* Moun- tain**r is Janet Homesley and the Managing Editor is Karen Dixon. The Kings Mountain High VICA Club hosted the District Six Rally on Nov. 13. After in troductory and guest speeches, members attended mini courses in the Achievement Program, Financing, Public Speaking, Inter-personal Relationships, Public Relations and Open Forum.
