The Rev. Robert Boggan of ficiated at the 4 p.m. ceremony. Mrs. J.N. McClure was organist for the program of tradi tional music. The bride and bridegroom came to the altar together. The bride wore a mauve street-length dress and carried a white Bible arranged with an orchid and rosebuds. Mrs. Mark Withers, sister-in- law of the bridegroom, was matron of honor and only atten dant. She chose a green street- length dress and carried long stemmed pink roses. The bridegroom’s father was best man. Ushers were the bridegroom’s brother, Mark Withers, Mike McDaniel, Charles T. Carpenter, III and .leff Hedden, all of Kings Mountain. The bride and bridegroom received wedding guests at a reception following the ceremony in the Church Fellowship Hall where the wed ding theme was beautifully featured in decorative details. The couple’s wedding trip took them to the Carribean Islands and New Orleans, La. Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lu- cien Marquaille of Pau, France, the bride was educated in the Pau schools and University and was employed with the French Chamber of Commerce. She speaks four languages fluently and expects to pursue a career as an interpreter. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Withers of Kings Mountain are parents of the bridegroom who was graduated from Kings Mountain High School and Duke Universi ty. He is associated with Dowell Schlumberger International in Algeria. Parties honoring the couple in Kings Mountain were hosted by Dr. and Mrs. Sam Robin,son, Mr. and Mrs. John O. Robinson of Rt. 3, Lakeshore Dr., Kings Mountain, was among the 78 students at the • University of North Carolina at Charlotte who have been in itiated into Phi Kap|)a Phi na tional honor society. Phi Kappa Phi was established as a chapter at UNCC on December 2, to honor high scholastic achievement. N.C.—Gaston College has announced 260 students to the Honor Lists for the fall quarter. Seventy-one students were named to the President’s List.
