Kiser of Min netonka, Minnesota, former residents, has been elected presi dent of the University of Min nesota Independent Republicans for 1980-81. UMl is an organization that provides students with a means of getting involved in the political process and becomings active in election campaigns. Members meet regularly with congressmen and other elected officials. Kiser is also an officer of the Metropolitan College Republicans comprised of students from seven major col leges in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. A senior, he graduates in 1981 with a BA in political science and a minor degree in economics. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. A.S. Kiser and Mr. and Mrs. William Ledbetter, all of Kings Mountain. FOOTE DECLARES DIVIDEND The Board of Directors of close of business* on December Foote Mineral Company today declared a year-end dividend of 20‘ per share on the Company’s common stock, payable December 31, 1980 to shareholders of record at the 22,1980.
