Several reports of vandalism
and larceny were made to Kings
Mountain Police during the
Christmas holidays.

Stroupe’s Barber Shop
reported the theft of barber
equipment valued at $68 during
a break in of the barber shop on
N. Piedmont Ave.

ENGAGED — Mr. and Mrs. Noel W. Lightsey of Gastonia an
nounce the engagement of their daughter, Cathy, to Norman Glenn
Roberts of Kings Mountain. Mr. Roberts is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Eugene Roberts. The bride-elect is a graduate of Ashbrook High
School and Greenville, S.C., Tech, and is employed as a nurse at
Gaston Memorial Hospital. The prospective bridegroom is a graduate
of Kings Mountain High School and attended Limestone College. He
is employed by Depot Stop and Go in Kings Mountain. The wedding
will be an event of January 24 at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Kings
Mountain.

Route 4, reported that his 1980
Ford was egged while it was
parked at Holiday Inn.
Philip Blanton, of S. Gaston
St., reported the theft of a guitar
> and amplifier.
Police investigated two minor
automobile accidents during the
holidays.

rites, and interment was in the
church cemetery.
Miss Spake was a native of and James Spake, both of
York County, S.C., daughterbf Grover, and two sisters. Miss
the late Solon Cleveland and Jessie Mae Spake of Grover and
Mandy Whitworth Spake. Sur- Mrs. Marie Chapman of Rock
viving are two brothers, Ralph Hill, S.C.
