HOMECOMING
Mary’s Grove United
Methodist Church will have its
annual homecoming services on
Sun., May 9. Sunday School will
be held at 10 a.m. and worship
service at 11 a.m. A covered dish
lunch will be spread at 12:30
VFW MEETING
The regular monthlv meeting
of the V.F.W. will be held Fri
day at 7 p.m. at the clubhouse.
The House and Rules Commit
tee will meet at 6 p.m. All
members are urged to attend.

CAR WASH
The Bill Russell class of Cen
tral United Methodist Church
will sponsor a car wash May 15
from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the
Professional Park beside Home
Federal Savings and Loan. Cars
will be washed for $2. Tickets
may be purchased from Kenny
or Denise Falls.
CARWASH
The Kings Mountain Jaycees
will have a car wash Saturday
from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the
parking lot of Hank’s
Steakhouse. Cars will be washed
for $3.50 each. Anyone men
tioning that they’re having their
car washed for Mother’s Day
will receive a discount.
PRESSURE CHECK
The Grover Rescue Squad will
sponsor a free blood pressure
check Saturday from 9 a.m. until
5 p.m. Citizens may go by the
Rescue Squad or by the squad
ambulance which will be parked
in downtown Grover.
BAKE SALE
The W.M.U. of Chestnut
Ridge Baptist Church will hold a
bake sale Saturday in front of
Ray’s Drug in the KM Plaza,
beginning at 8 a.m. Homemade,
cakes, cookies and brownies will
be sold.

East Kings Mountain Church
of God will have an all-day hot
dog sale Friday at 208 Cansler
Street. Hot dogs will be sold for
75 cents each. For free delivery,
