Robinson, Academic Dean will serve as Association Director. This program is designed to help high school teachers to improve their subject matter knowledge. Fifty participants will be select ed who will receive a stipend of $7500 per week, travel allowance and $15.00 per week for two de pendents. Announcement of approval of the grants was made this week by Dr. Samuel D. Proctor, president. He said that one of the programs, the Summer Institute in Sciences, is similar to those which have been operated at the college for the past two summers. The second and new one. the Summer Institute in Chemistry, is different in that it will offer courses in rhemlstry parallel ing those required for a major in the field, given in sequential order leading to the Master of Science degree.
