C Phone 552^4844 Angier News sponsive reading was from the Book of Psalms 8, followed by the affirmation of faith. The scripture lesson was from the gospel of St. Luke chapter 2. Prayer of compassion was of fered by Rev. Rudolph Cutts. A thought - provoking and splendid message which was very suitable for our time, was delivered by Rev. Free man. He chose his text from Psalms 8:3-4, "When I consider the works of Thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which Thou hast ordained; what is man that Thou art mindful of him?” His subject was "Man On the Moon, Not the Greatest. Event In the History Os Mankind.” In his message, he emphasized that God was so powerful and intelligent as to make the moon and stars and place them in the elements - we can not under stand the works of God, we are too small to understand; Christ said, 'greater things you can do than I have done- because I am going home to my Father.’ Man is an instrument of God. He made him to have domin ion over the universe. Man on the moon is a great event. The greatest event was the birth of Jesus, a Saviour who is Christ, the Lord; the resur rection and ascension of Christ who went out beyond the moon and the stars into heaven with God. Will man abuse his ac complishments? We wish a speedy recovery for Mrs. Inez Lee, who is at Wake Memorial Hospital, Ra leigh, and also Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Lee, who are improv ing at home after an automo bile accident Friday night. Happy birthday to Mr, Billy Taylor, who observed a birth day July 31. * * ♦ Central cities in large me tropolitan areas still account for two-thirds of their area's employment, despite recent in creases in employment in sub urban areas, — SHOP AND SAVE IN .
