Thorpe was surprised at the close of his work day, Thursday, September 25, when the Elizabeth City State Univer sity family wished him a Hap py Birthday. Department of Housing and Urban Development last week announced publication of Selected Abstracts of Planning Reports, a compilation of sum maries of planning studies sup ported by HUD through the coun try. The studies were carried out as part of the Comprehensive Planning Assistance Program, choral clubs. The Class of 1973 at Amherst Includes representatives from 37 states and three foreign countries. Two thirds of the freshmen come to Amherst from public high schools anda bout one third come from inde pendent secondary schools.
