He began his ministry at an early age, in his home community and organized a church known as New Bethel Holy Church of which he pastcred for a period of 60 years. Elder Young was also known' as a church builder. He. was Instrumental in the bulidlng of the Flint Hill Holi ness Church of Henderson, Salem burg and Enfield. His motto: Holines or Hell, without no man sees the Lord. Elder Young was a member of the Gen eral Board of Eiders of the United Holiness Church, a member of the Board of Elders for the Southern District Con vocation. He was also District Elder for the Central District for many years. At the time of his death October the 17th, 19- 69, he was pastor of the church es above mention. 37 years at the Evergreen Church and 51 years at the Plumline Church. He was eulogized by the Rt. Bishop W\ N. Strobhar and who is also general president of the United Holiness Church. Hese- iected for a text: the words from the 20th book of Tim othy verse 4-7/ “I have fought a good fight, 1 have keep the Faith." Elder Young will be mis3ea not only in the Holi ness Church, but in other churches as well. The fami ly who speaks of this passing, says "he was a living hus band and father, a trust worthy friend and a wonderful coun selor wh*o precepts and ex amples were mightily respect ed. We are sorry not as one who has no hope, for his testi mony was, "I have built my nest in the word of God and I mean to die in the word cf Gad.
