N. A. Trice, pre siding. Rev, Trice chose his message from Psalm 8:49 and used as a theme, “What Is Man?” Music was rendered by the senior choir accompanied by Mr. William Boney. Jones chose his text for the day from St. Matthew 21:17-19 and used as a theme “Nothing But Leagues.” The Gospel Chorus rendered music for the serv ice. Our churches always wel come visitors Among the visb» tors Sunday was Mr. Roy Jones, son of Rev. and Mrs. John H, Jones, who has recently re turned home from Berlin, Germany, with the armed serv ices. We returned Sunday evening for a service, sponsored by the birth month of November mem - bers. Rev. Kennedy of New Hope Baptist Church, delivered the evening message. Music was rendered by New Hope’s jun ior choir, St. Mary’s Choir and the Gospel Chorus of Popular Springs. The prayer band of the UCC is sponsoring a week’s serv ice during the week of November 17-21. Different ministers and choirs will be presented each evening. Service begins nightly at 7:30. , The follow'ing are cele brating birthdays this month: Misses Linda Leslie, Jennie Baldwin, Mrs. Aderine Dennis, Teresa Merritt, Furman Beck with, James Norris, Cecil Lockley and Mrs. Zella Book er, who will be celebrating her 31st birthday in Nov, 30. Happy birthday to all. Let’s remember our sickand shut-ins by prayers and cards. Hospitalized is Mrs. Maggie Cross, Mrs. Christine Johnson is shut-in.
