FUQUA Y -VAR IN A- Sunday School was held at all local churches with all superintend ents in charge of the devotion. First Baptist Church open ed Sunday School at 10 a m. with the supt., Mr, Alford Thorpe, in charge. The subject of the lesson was “God’s Law Reaffirmed.” The lesson text was from Nehemiah 8:1-12. The Singing Union was held at Sweet Spring AME Zion Me thodist Church and Bazzeli Creek Church, We extend to the Smith and Lawrence families our deep est sympathy upon the loss of their loved one, Mr, Willie L„ Smith, who was funeralized on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Rev. N. A. Trice officiated. The junior choir of St. Au gtista celebrated its anniver sary on Sunday night. Miss Hunter (left) has returned to the Uni versity in Athens to write a story on how things have changed at the University of Georgia. Miss Hunter and journalism instructor Mrs. Beverly Bethune (right) were initiated last week into the formerly all-male professional journalism group.
