To properly celebrate, an Anniversary Ball M^l be held at the Home on ^turday evening, October 4, 1980 beginning at 8:30 p.m. The ball will be followed by a brunch and the annual meeting on Sun day, October 5. Invitations to the Ball were mailed in August throughout the state. Attendance will be by contributions of $50.00 per cou ple (tax deductible) or more if one desires to be a patron. The Ball Committee is most anxious for a success — financially to the point where expenses will be covered and socially so more people in the state can be ex posed to the Home. We are all a part of the Home as it is support not just by in dividual contributions but by our Jewish Federations as well. Holocaust Survivors The World Gathering of Jewish Holocaust Survivors, scheduled for Israel, June 15-18, 1981, has run into problems, pie meeting, which will bring together those who survived the Nazi Holocaust of World Wcur II for the ^t time, has admitted that communications problems in the U.S. have hamper^ plans to contact all those still- living and wishing to attend such a meeting. Ihe group is asking the help of agencies such as Federations in reaching those who survived the Holocaust. Any person who is a survivor or knows of a sur vivor should contact the Federa tion. TTie event is being planned and coordinated from a one- man office in New York. Most activities of the group are being handled by a small group of sur vivor volunteers, headed by Elie Weisel and Simon Veil as Honorary Chairmen and Ernest Midiel as Chairman of the EIx- ecutive Committee. Womens American ORT will be holding its paid up membership dinner on SeptemW 17 at 7:30 p.m. at the home of Ronnie Herman, 10220 Doylestown Road, Matthews.
