Dr. Fishman appointed the following chairmanships; Doris Bernstein and Sue Brodsky, education; Mark Weinglass and Mike Shapiro, buildmg and grounds; Sue Brodsky, recruit ment; Mary Gordan and Doris Bernstein, fall event; Arlene Shapiro, raffle; Mel Berzack, spring event; Dr. Saul Brenner, publicity. “Ihis should be the best year in the Academy’s history”, stated Dr. Fishman. “We will have the largest student group (approximately 50 students) and largest staff (five teachers including the dire^or). 1 am im pressed with the enthusiasm, dedication and variety of skills of the staff 1 believe that the Academy will be able to offer a program equivalent to any Hebrew day school in the coun try.” To accommodate .the in creased enrollment a second building on the property will be completely renovated for educational purposes. During the summer two “paint ins” took place through the volunteer ef forts of the parents. The outside of the main building was pai nted and there was a general “housecleaning” of the interior.
