Joint Workers Retreat and Training Date: Sunday, January 10, 1982 Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Place: Belmont Abbey Program: More than 50 workers will attend this all day training program con ducted by the United Jewish Appeal and the Council of Jewish Federations. In addi tion to learning the facts and the skills necessary for a successful campaign, the group will enjoy the spirit of friendship and camaraderie which comes from sharing and working together on an important project. Sunday, January 17, 1982 Time: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Place: Speizman In dustries Program: Up to 60 volunteers will make close to 1000 phone calls to the entire Jewish community as Federation aims to collect $25,000 for the 1982 Cam paign to meet the needs of our community, of Israel and of Jews around the world. Stu Schwartz and Elliot Sanderson are two of the chairpersons for the event which will include 6 two-hour phone sessions along with a dinner and social for all volunteers and campaign workers. You, your family and friends are invited to join this national telephone solicitation. On this day, volunteers across the nation will contact more people and raise more money on a single day than has ever been done. It is your chance to make fundraising history.
