Reaches $3t4S0.S00,00
As a result of an outstand
ing effort by 32 dedicated
workers, the Campaign has
surged past $3.4 million.
“The people are waiting for
us to call on them, and that is
just what we are doing,” said
Harry Swimmer. He empha
sized the need for each and
every member of the com
munity to stand up and be
counted by making a pledge
and placing their name on a
brick.
At a meeting held at Swim
mer’s home workers accept
ed assignments totaling
more than 175 families and
individuals. In the days that
followed they fanned out
through the community to
contact people to obtain com

work and long hours to make
sure that everyone is given
their own personal oppor

Monte Carlo Night
To Benefit Project
On November 20 the
Charlotte Lodge of B’nai
B’rith will be holding its se
cond annual Monte Carlo
Night. This promises to be
an even bigger, better and
more enjoyable evening than
it had last year. There are so
many very good door prizes
to offer and so many of the
larger prizes will simply be
unbelievable.
This project is especially
significant to the Lodge this
year in that the funds raised
from this project will go
toward helping the Lodge
meet their pledge to The
Foundation. The Lodge feels
that as part of its community
commitment the support of
The Foundation is very
crucial to the community and
that it is the Lodge’s respon
sibility to the community to
help support The Founda
tion with its goals.
You will find a coupon in
the paper that will entitle
you to an additional $100 in
chips when presented to the
cashier at the door.
The Lodge invites all
members of the community
to this gala evening to help
support The Foundation and
the Charlotte B'nai B’rith
Lodge. Please come out and
enjoy yourself and help the
Lodge support the biggesi
project ever undertaken by
