Hand Weave A Hanukah Gift
Worried about what to give that Hard-to-Shop-for person
at Hanukah? Carol Shafranek, a newcomer to Charlotte, has
the perfect solution to this problem.
Carol is an accomplished artist who specializes in hand-
weaving and will be bringing her expertise to JCC on Tues
day, Nov. 16 at a One Day For You Handweaving Workshop.
This workshop will begin at 10 a.m. and continue until 2 p.m.
Bring your lunch and the “J” will provide drinks and
dessert.
Carol comes to Charlotte from New Hampshire where she
taught Macrame, Handweaving and Stained Glass. She is
very anxious to share her talents with you while giving you
the perfect opportunity to take care of some of your Hanukah
gifts. All supplies can be found in your home or your
backyard - bring with you old yarns, ribbons, weeds, dried
flowers, and an arched stick from your favorite tree.
Creativity is unlimited and you can add your personal touch
to your hand woven Hanukah gift. For ideas or to discuss
your project, call Carol at 847-8135.
The fee for this workshop is $5/M; $7.50/NM. Registration
is necessary because space is limited. Send the form below to
the JCC, P.O. Box 220188, Charlotte, N.C. 28222, with your
fee.
