Page 15-THE NEWS-September, 1984 Ha Lailah BBW Charlotte Chapter BBW Pool Party Ha Lailah Chapter started the year’s events off with a splash with a “Pool Party” held at the home of Penny Eisenberg on Sunday after noon, August 12. The special guest at the pro gram was Selma Burton, a bartender for the Athletic Club. Selma taught us how to make and possily improve various drinks, ranging from a Martini to a Marguerita. There were approximately 25 people in attendance and everyone had an opportunity to sample each drink demon strated. Following the demonstration everyone en joyed the remainder of the afternoon in casual conversa tion with their friends. Business Meeting Ha Lailah Chapter of B’nai B’rith Women has made a change. In the past the meeting held the second Tues day of the month, has been referred to as the “Board Meeting.” As a result, Ha Lailah Chapter members feel attendance at these meetings is not what it could be, because members or prospec tive members, are of the assumption that these are held for Board members only. However, this is not the case, as they are open to anyone who would like to attend. Ha Lailah is changing the name to “Business Meetings.” Ha Lailah welcomes all who wish to attend, whether an existing member or someone who would like to find out more about the Chapter, its in volvement in various com munity services and events planned for the upcoming year. Ha Lailah Chapter wiU hold its next “Business Meeting” at the Armstrong House on Tuesday, September 11 at 8 p.m. It will be open to everyone. — Lisa Teitelzweig Where We’ve Been Charlotte B’nai B'rith Women made a real “SPLASH” on August 18.
