As our kickoff this year, Charlotte and Ha Lailah Chapters of B’nai B’rith Women will have a joint cocktail party with hors d’oeuvres and a fabulous Vien nese dessert table. This affair wiU be held on 'Tuesday even ing, September 18, at Temple Beth El at 7:30 p.m. All who attend that evening will be most fortunate to meet our guest speaker, Mrs. Beverly Davis, International President of B’nai B’rith Women. Mrs. Davis has been quoted as say ing, “We hope you will res pond in the same generous spirit that you did last year. Reaffirm your support and concern for the boys at our Children’s Home in Israel, for the Anti-Defamation League, services to young people through BBYO and Hillel, and the programs B’nai B’rith Women sponsor benefitting women of all ages.” Each direct contribution will help the local chapters and the region in meeting its financial obligation to the national organization. It is an invest ment in the future of B’nai B'rith Women and the future of every woman in the organization. During the past year members in every region have been discovering the value of membership in B'nai B'rith Women Gift Clubs. A contribution of $100 entitles you to membership in the Menorah Club, $250 for Builder’s Club, and $500 for First Ladies Club. The challenges to us as B’nai B’rith Women, and as Jews, are becoming increas ingly more complex to main tain our viability as leaders in the world. To enable B’nai B’rith Women to deal with the future, the Jewish community must continue to support the vital services of B’nai B’rith Women.
