They are: Jr. Computer Camp (grades 4-6), Teen Com puter Camp and a LIT (Leader in Training) program for 15-year-olds. In And Arou Children’s Art Exhibit The JCC Children’s Department and the Foundation’s Visual Arts Committee are sponsoring a Children’s Art Show in honor of Israel’s 40th Birthday. 'I’ne theme of this art ex hibit is “In the Beginning,” the seven days of creation. Entrants do not need to be members of the JCC. Any media may be used; projects must be no larger than 12 x 18. Please put your name, age and category on the back of your entry. Entries must be submitted by April 14. All entries will be hung for exhibit one week before and one week after the reception and awards ceremony on April 24. Entry Categories The first day of creation: “Let There Be Light”—Grade 6 The second day of creation: “Let There Be Firmament in the Midst of the Waters”—Grade 5 The third day of creation: “Let There Be Dry Land and Let It I^t Forth Vegetation”—Grade 4 The fourth day of creation: “Let There Be the Stars, the Moon, the Sun and Seasons”—Grade 3 The fifth day of creation: “Let Living Creatures Fill the Waters of the Sea and the Expanse of the Sky”—Grade 2 The sixth day of creation: “Let the Earth Bring Forth Animals and Human Kind”—Grade 1 The seventh day of creation: “Let This be a Day of Rest”— Grade K Art Show and Rc Join the JI Tribute Cards Are Available Tribute funds are available at the Charlotte JCC. If you wish to honor someone on a special occasion or extend a condolence, the Center will do this for you. The funds that are available at this time £ire: The Andrew & Robert Musler Memorial Fund, The JCC General Fund, The Founda tion General Fund, The Speiz- man Library Fund, The Tul- man Library Tribute Fund, Chai-Lites Fund and the Fine Arts Fund. We will send a c£ird for you. The minimum cost is $5 per card and 5 cards for $20. You may also make a contribution of $100, which will give you unlimited cards for a year. The Snack Bar is now open Sunday mornings serving bagels & lox, etc. An Art Show and Reception displaying paintings by the adult acrylic painting classes taught by Renee Molko Gore- lick will be held on Sunday, March 6 at 12:30 p.m. in the Speizman GaUery at the JCC. The Art Show will continue throughout the month of March. Letting go of inhibitions, learning to use their natural ability and discovering the fun and s^'satisfaction of making art was the goal....all seem to have achiev^ that.
