Counselor Training Program
Do you like children? Do you enjoy working in the
outdoors? Have you ever thought of working in a day
camp?
If you said yes to these questions and are currently
in 10th or 11th grade, the Counselor Training Program
is available for you. This 8-week training course offered
by the ‘ J’ will have a presentation by a community expert
each week. The presentation will include open discussion,
role pla^ng and actual work experience. Each partic
ipant will also have the opportunity to develop a game
and song file.
All participants are required to attend each CTP
session. The cost is $15/M and $25/NM. Participation
does not guarantee a position as a Counselor in a JCC
camp, though it can certainly be helpful in preparing
for such a position.
The Counselor Training Program will be in late March.
Be a Camp Counselor at the
Are you beginning to think about what you’ll be doing
this summer? Perhaps the JCC has the answer for you.
If you love the outdoors and enjoy being around young
children, why not be a counselor this summer in one of
the JCC’s Summer Camp programs.
We are currently interviewing to fill positions in all
of the seven camp pro^ams.
Positions include junior counselors, senior counselors
and camp specialists. Camp specialists include arts &
crafts, camping & nature, Judaica, science, dramatics/
creative movement. Together, this mix of young people
helps produce the fine quality program that has exist^
in Charlotte the last several years.
Our summer camp programs are quality programs and
we’re looking for quality people who believe they can
provide expert leadership, guidance and friendship. If
you want the opportunity to assist youngsters in their
continued development in areas of skill acquisition and
social/personal growth, we have that opportunity. If you
have a genuine love for children and want to ^ part
of a very satisfying experience, the “J” has that
experience.
