Over 80 volunteers gave about four hours each of their time to work at all four hospitals and the county jail on Christmas Eve and Christ mas Day so that non-Jewish workers could have time off to spend with their families. The response to our call for volunteers was tremendous; we thank all for helping with this special project. Special thanks to Steve Menaker, Jim Meadows, Eric Levine, Jeff Meyer and Scott Menak er for coordinating the vol unteer assignments. Steve also gave a “great perfor mance” on WBTV’s “Top of the Day” program. On Sunday, Jan. 29, mem bers of B’nai B’rith Men and AZA participated in a joint program honoring Tu B’She- vat. To commemorate the Jewish Arbor Day, dogwood trees were planted in Fourth Ward Park as part of our community service projects. The manual labor was spread out among all those participating. Once the trees were safely planted, the group then went out to lunch to celebrate. — Scott Menaker Entarged to show (MaU. *j a c Ferrara Co.. Itk.
