Page 12-THE NEWS-April 1989 Camp News JCC Sports Camp offers the best of both worlds! Campers focus on tennis, soccer and basketball. They also swim, participate in day trips, overnights and var ious other camp activities. We are pursuing local col lege and high school coaches to enhance our JCC Sports Camp programs. • Drama, visual arts and dance/music are the main events for the Keshet campers during the 1989 camp season. Keshet campers will work closely with the specialists teaching these sessions. Keshet campers also par ticipate in swimming, trips, overnights and various oth er camp activities. Variety Show Enjoyed by All The JCC First Annual Variety Show on February 26 was a huge success. Spe cial thanks to Brad Green berg from Creative Enter tainment for generously pro viding our special guest per former, comedian Lionel Norman. Our wonderful JCC performers were: Mas ters of Ceremonies, Phil Joffe and Steward Scher; vocalists, Caren Frank and Chaim Poran; vocal musi cians, Gerry Rohde and Trude Altfeder; dancers, Sal and Barbara Messina. This program is designed to provide an entertaining alternative to the traditional camp experience. Teens will travel to a destination each day including a weekly extended day trip.
