The Chai-Lites are Kept Busy Officer Ben Davis, Charlotte Police Dept., speaks to Chai members about Sr. Home Safety & Crime Prevention. The Chai-Lites began 1990 with a little bit of everything. Two lucky members were mod els for a demonstration of a “non-surgical facelift.” Louise Wunder and Noel Newsome from NU SKIN did this inter esting demonstration which everyone enjoyed, especially our (younger looking) models. Members were enlightened re garding catastrophic health care coverage and other important issues by Tony Weaver of N.C. Federal Savings. Everyone warmed up with homemade soup (ala Sr. Adult Director) as they watched the award-winning movie, “Rain Man.” HaLailah B’nai B’rith Women sponsored a fun program on the art of making pasta. Everyone enjoyed the delicious samples and the attention of this fine group of women. The JCC van took the “Out to Lunch” bunch to one of their favorite restaurants and for a “Mall Walk.” And if that wasn’t enough, we visited the Scheile Museum in Gastonia. We are still collecting canned goods and paper goods for Jewish Family Services. Look for information soon in the mail about the CHAI RAFFLE. We have some terrific prizes includ ing Hornets tickets and some beautiful jewelry. Information about future events and the Chai-Lites calendar can be found in The CJN.
