Infant/Toddler Nursery Gives Excellent Care
Page 9-THE NEWS-Februarv 1992
From one mom to another
mom. Plain and simple. We may
be persuaded to compromise
when our kids choose the choc
olate chip cookie over the apple,
but when it comes to choosing
a preschool program there is no
compromise. We want the best.
It seems easy to say, but let us
ask ourselves exactly what
makes a prechool program the
best.
• Dedicated professionals
who maintain the highest stand
ards of care
• An excellent staff—child
ratio
• Frequent interaction be
tween caregivers and infant/
toddlers
• Clean, dry and comfortable
babies
• A safe, clean, bright and
happy environment

Gifted & Talented Camp
Made Lunchboxes
For Diane Keaton
Art students from the JCC’s
G&T summer camp had an
exciting opportunity to become
part of a made for TV movie,
“Wildflower,” made for the
Lifetime channel. It was filmed
in and around Charlotte in
August and aired in November.
The director, Diane Keaton, was
anxious to maintain artistic
continuity in her movie, and
wanted original lunchboxes
actually made by children for a
particular scene about an Easter
lunchbox auction. Within one
week, art instructor Judith
Plough and her team at the JCC
had devised five of the prettiest
papier mache lunchboxes. Stu
dents included Josh Rosen,
Rene Ryan, Shelly Brodsky,
Sarah Bailey, Kimberly Burrows
and a Japanese exchange stu
dent. Production manager Ga
reth Stover, from Los Angeles,
visited us at the JCC and was
amazed to find a Jewish facility
of this size and excellence in
Charlotte. Our students were
happy to receive pictures of Miss
Keaton with the lunchboxes as
a memento of a job well done.
• Stimulating, inspiring and
original age-appropriate activi
ties (including play and exercise
time in our full-size gym)
• Outdoor fully equipped
playground
Does all of this sound too
good to be true? Well, it is true
and the best part is that it is all
right here at the Jewish Com
munity Center’s Infant/Toddler
Preschool. Our program’s qual
ified staff go out of their way
to make you and your child feel
confident, safe and secure in
your decision. We understand
that you are trusting us with
your most valuable possession.
And we want you to understand
that we never cut corners when
it comes to providing your child
with the best possible care. From
one mom to another mom. Plain
and simple.
So come on and join with a
winning program. Call us today
at 366-5007 to schedule a tour
or to speak with one of our staff.
Your child must be at least six
months old to be eligible to begin
the program.
