Facts About the Speizman Library By Amalia Warshenbrot What is the Speizman Jewish Library? The Speizman Jewish Library is a Judaic library. This means that all of the books are of Jewish content or written by Jewish authors. You can also find Jewish magazines in En glish, Hebrew, Yiddish and Russian. Where is it located? The Speizman Jewish Library is located at Shalom Park in the Blumenthal Jewish Education Building (connects with the Jewish Community Center) across from the Religious School offices. Who uses it? The Speizman Jewish Library serves children and adults, Jew ish and non-Jewish, the Reli gious Schools of each syna gogue, the Charlotte Jewish Preschool, the Consolidated Jewish High School, and anyone else who seeks knowledge of Judaica. Many individuals, in cluding college and high school students, visit the library for research on topics such as Jewish life, Israel, the Holocaust. When is it open? The Speizman Jewish Library is open when the Religious Schools are in session. Hours are: Sunday, 9:30 a.m.-l p.m.; Monday, Closed; Tuesday & Thursday, 4:15-5:45 p.m.; Wednesday & Friday, 9:15 a.m.- 1:45 p.m. (7-9 p.m. Wednesday only). Barman-Romano Keren Chava Romano and Dovid Zev Barman, both of Miami Beach, were married on July 5 in Tradition Hall in Miami Beach. Dovid, the son of Lorri and Marvin Barman of Charlotte, is studying for the rabbinate. Keren is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Romano of Miami Beach. The couple live in Miami Beach, Florida. Kodsi-Benson Angela Michelle Benson and Matthew Heath Kodsi were married June 21 at Johnston County Country Club in Smithfield, N.C. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Benson of Clayton, N.C. She is a graduate of Clayton High School and UNC- CH. She is beginning a residency in psychopharmacology at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in San Diego, California. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Kodsi of Charlotte.
