intemation^ politics. Throughout
the history of the Jewish people,
politics has been one of the basic
spiritual, intellectual, and practical
concerns of life. In 1943, American
rabbi Judah Magnes wrote, “the
prophets of Israel never dissociated
politics from religion. On the con
trary, they were passionately inter
ested in politics. Zion must be re
deemed through justice. “ In keep
ing with this spirit, Hadassah invites
you to explore the interwoven
threads of politics and religion with
Ms. Sacarob on November S and 6,
and again on November 29 at the
home of Marcelo and Ruth Warat,
3708 Mooreland Farms Road, when
Rabbi Israel Gerber will discuss the
role of the prophets in Israel’s his

Club Selection: Out of Egypt
by Andre Adman
Writer Andre Aciman will be featured at the Book and Author Evening

Set in luxuriant cosmopolitan Alexandria, this richly colored mem
