The Hadassah Education Committee will host political edu cation forums on November S and 6 featuring Joan Sacarob, a mem ber of Hadassah’s National Board and a representative on Hadassah National’s Washington Task Force. Ms. Sacarob is known across the ington political scene for those who could not attend the Sunday evening program. The goal of Hadassah’s Edu cation Committee this year is to em phasize the continuing importance of the role that women play, as both Jews and Zionists, in domestic and Joan Sacarob \Jmted States for her extensive Capiu^Uiil and admuusttation con tacts. Her objective in visiting Char lotte is to help members of our com- munity become more politically active. Ruth. Warat, co-Vice Presi dent of the Education Committee, hopes that Ms. Sacarob’s visit will take some of the mystery out of the political process, and encourage every woman to realize that her voice, her vote, and her involvement really can make a difference. Ms. Sacarob will speak at Temple Israel on Sunday evening, November 5, at 7:30 p.m. She will present an overview of the Wash ington political scene. Coffee and dessert will follow the prese;ntation. Then on Monday morning, Novem ber 6, at 10:00 a.m., Ms. Sacarob will speak at the home of Dr. Sanford and lx)is Benjamin, 6709 Honors Court. She will discuss how and why women should leam to be come politically active, and she will again address the topic of the Wash- Judaic Art Sale To Benefit Charlotte Hadassah A special exhibition and sale of Judaic art and jewelry designed by sculptor Unda Gissen will be held prior to the Book and Author Evening lecture. Eric has been actively in volved with our Jr. Kadima, Kadima and USY programs as an advisor for the past several years. Temple Israel’s Nov. 27 Book Club Selection: Out of Egypt by Andre Adman Writer Andre Aciman will be featured at the Book and Author Evening on December 10 at the JCC.
