The Charlotte Jewish News - February, 1998 - Page 5 2nd Annual “Kids In Vogue” Children’s Fashion Show Scheduled for March 1,1998 By Cary Bernstein Building on the success of last year’s event, the 2nd annual “Kids in Vogue” Children’s Fashion Show is scheduled at 12:30 p.m. at the Westin Hotel. “We are very excited about this year. We were so pleased with our inaugural event last March and are looking forward to an even larger crowd this year,” said Bobbi Bernstein who serves as this year’s honorary chair with Mara Huber. Tracy Brown is chairing the “Kids in Vogue” Steering Committee and is also enthusiastic about this year’s program. “We have assembled a dynamic group of women to work on the commit tee and together we are planning an afternoon which we hope will be a lot of fun and educate women about the how the work of the Federation helps children through out the world.” The show is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. at the Westin Hotel. Lunch will be served (at a cost of $25). Anyone who wishes to attend or have their child model will be asked to make a $75 tax deductible contribution to the 1998 UJA/Federation campaign. This donation is payable anytime during 1998. (This contribution is not over and above any previous donation that has been made to the ‘98 campaign.) (Children who attend the last session of Temple Beth El and wish to model will be offered transportation from Shalom Park down to the hotel.) Tables are being organized for the program. Everyone knows that when you ask Susan to take on a job the final product will exceed all expecta tions,” said Ms. Brown. Susan is working with Ellen Framm, Wendy Hennes, Debby Vitale and Dana Gorelick. Fashion for the show is being provided by Fitigues, London Britches and Sunday’s Child. Stefanie Reiner and Marni Abramowitz arranged for the stores to provide the clothing and will organize the models the day of the show. Publicity for the event is being coordinate by Deborah Rivkin, who designed and donated the invitations. Jennifer Lahn and Debra Van Glish will work on model entertainment, Tammy Menaker and Holly Levinson are devising the educational program, Jody Molinari is making all the luncheon arrangements and Roni Fishkin will serve as the show moderator. Other steering com mittee members include: Dana Ditesheim, Sue Cobcn, Andrea Morgan, Cathy Shait and Jody Michele. L’Chaim! Charlotte ‘98 returns May 17,1998 Shalom Park will once again be turned into a festival as L’Chaim! Charlotte ‘98, a cele bration of Jewish heritage, cul ture and faith, returns on May 17. This year, the celebration will also commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the found ing of the State of Israel. Plans are now being made for the memorable event.
