The Charlotte Jewish News - June/July 2002 - Page 15 It’s Been A Great Year for the Charlotte Jewish Preschool Prescbool The Charlotte Jewish Preschool is dedicated to providing a secure and loving atmosphere in which young children can grow and develop. The recent merger of our current Preschool Program with the JCC Early Childhood Program enables CJP to meet childcare needs from the cradle to Pre-K. CJP students work and play, make discoveries, and meet new challenges each day. Every accomplishment creates a sense of mastery and self-confidence, which further fuels their confi dence to try something new. Students graduating from CJP are self-assured and well prepared to enter any kindergarten, whether private or public. From weekly Judaica classes, to Model Seders, to our annual “Trip to Israel,” we instill a joyful attitude towards Judaism in each child. Throughout the enriched curriculum, we provide the expe riences necessary to promote Jewish values and nurture Jewish identity in our students. The high light of each week is our Shabbat The Kids at CJP Had Fun All Year Long celebrations featuring Rabbi Ezring, Rabbi Bennett, Rabbi Kasman, Rabbi Schindler, Cantor Roochvarg, or Cantor Bernard, each sharing a special song, story, game, or magic trick. The end of each school year gives us time to reflect on the milestones and accomplishments we have achieved in the past year. It is also a wonderful time to think about all the special people who have helped us along the way. CJP would like to thank all the staff members and parents who helped to shape every day into an exciting learning experience. Each dedicat ed teacher and parent volunteer played a part in ensuring that 2001- 2002 was a fabulous school year for everyone at the Charlotte Jewish Preschool. We would fur ther like to recognize the efforts of our Parent Teacher Organization, headed by Nancy Good and RuthAnn Smith. Special thanks also go to the Preschool Board of Directors, and in particular to the Board President, Helen Berman, for their tireless work throughout the school year. Finally, we would like to thank the Temple Israel, Temple Beth El, and the Jewish Community Center for their on going involvement and support of the Charlotte Jewish Preschool. ^ Gloria Levine Harvit coLOUjeu.
