U.S. Army Rabbi Jacob Goldstein, Chief Chaplain at Ground Zero, Will Speak October 6 Chaplain Colonel Jacob Goldstein is not your ordinary U.S. Army officer. Bom into a Lubavitch family in Brooklyn and a grad uate of the United Lubavitch Yeshiva Talmudic Academy, Rabbi Goldstein joined the U.S. National Guard in New York with a mis sion to help Jews in the military keep their faith. Chaplain Goldstein trains regularly at Ft. Bragg with the 82nd Airborne Division and Chaplain on September 11 at Ground Zero in New York. Chaplain Goldstein worked with the search and recovery teams, and handled the deli cate issues facing the interment of victims. He was also on the front line in comfort ing families who were affected by the attack and helping rescue workers cope with the magnitude of their task. Jewish Family Fun Day: A Smorgasbord for the Senses Launching the festival on Sunday, November 3 from 12 noon-3:00 PM will be the 4th annual Jewish Family Fun Day, Tiffany & Co. Fundraiser Benefits Jewish Family Services On October 1st, Tiffany & Co. will host “Keys for a Cause,” a special event to benefit Jewish Family Services. Guests have the opportunity to unlock Tiffany & Co. boxes using gold keys pur chased in advance or at the door. Along with the potential to win fine Jewelry and other prizes, the gala evening includes hors d’oeu- vres from Dean & Deluca and the unveiling of the latest collection by internationally renowned designer Paloma Picasso. “We’re so honored to have been selected by Tiffany & Co. for ‘Keys for a Cause,”’ said Penny Wagner-Schuster, Executive Director of Jewish Family Services. “In fact, this is the only benefit event that Tiffany & Co. will sponsor in North Carolina this year. Every dollar raised goes directly to JFS to help us maintain our programs and services, so we’re hoping for a huge turnout.” Keys are now on sale, and can be purchased for $18 each, or six for $100.
