Four incredible Jewish women have recently been selected to be part of the 4th annual Charlotte Jewish Women of Strength program. This year’s recipients are: Evelyn Berger, Judy Schindler, Mattye Silverman and Lenora Stein (of blessed memory). These women have been recognized because they embody all that “strength” implies: physical, emotional, intellectual and/or spiritual. Charlotte photographer Andrea Mellen developed this exciting project. A call for nominations was made to the entire Charlotte community; and friends, family and associates nominated many wonderful women. From the many exemplary nominations these four women were chosen.
