USY News
By Matt Titlebaum, TI-Y USY
President
Shalom, ya’ll. This year in
USY is turning out to be a great
one. But what makes Temple
Israel USY so great? Perhaps it’s
the amazing board: Faran
Dulberg, the Vice President of
Membership, Halli Sigal. the
Executive/Communications Vice
President, Gabe Kaunitz, the
Israeli Affairs Vice President,
Maureen McManus, the
Religious/Education Vice
President, and Jake Stmnin, the
Social Action Vice President, and,
well, yours truly. Each one of bur
board members brings something
new and unique to the board.
Whether it’s their humor, pro-
gramining ideas or reliability, I
couldn’t ask for a better group of
people to work with.
USY is all about bringing
Jewish teenagers together in a
group to celebrate their culture in
a positive way. But, perhaps most
importantly, USY is about fonn-
ing strong friendships that can last
throughout a lifetime. Our goal in
TI-Y USY is bring the Jewish
teenage community together to
enjoy om ;mothcr’s company and
realize '\ \v amazing we rs
one. I'm iooking fo wan- io -
great yean and I wisli you all me
same. Until next time.

yummy desserts. MIT/AIT, the
convention for new members, was

everyone had such a fun experi
ence. We have started planning for
our next convention. Winter

choreographers are beginning
their work on the chapter songs

BBG Blankets for Harish Warm House
On October li, Ohavim and Chai Chaverim BBG made blankets for the children of Harish in Isruci.

in the Harish community. A ‘'wann house ” is a place that children come afterschoof where :bcy receive
a warm meal and a place to do their homework. The atmosphere in the warm hciV'e :« positive and
friendly. These children come from dysfunctional families and the warm house provides an anhro)i-nent
that is stable and enriching. The blankets will he taken to Israel in November by the CharioUt Womait s
