October was Domestic Violence Awareness Month and the Levine-Sklut
Judaic Library and Resource Center featured a special exhibit on
domestic abuse in the Jewish community. Coordinated by Shalom Bayit
of North Carolina, the Library initiative was overseen by Director
Amalia Warshenbrot (pictured above).

Let No Holocaust Victim be Forgotten
Since 1955 Yad Vashem has
worked to memorialize every indi
vidual Jew who perished in the
Holocaust by collecting the ulti
mate representation of their identi
ties; their names. You can partici
pate in this historic task by com
peting “Pages of Testimony” as an
act of personal commemoration.
Pages of Testimony are preserved
in the Hall of Names at Yad
Vashem, Jerusalem and are also
incorporated into the Central
Database of Shoah Victims’
Names.
To date, half of the six million
have been recorded in the Names
Database (www.yadvashem.org)
where one may access their brief
histories and, when available, their
photographs, as well as submit
additional names online.
Millions more victims may be
forgotten forever, unless we
recover their names today. You
can ensure thema place in history
bu filling out Pages of Testimony,
or by assisting others with this
vital and urgent task.
Help Recover Their Names Today
If you know of individuals from
your family or ancestoral commu
nity who perished in the
Holocaust, submit unrecorded
names on Pages of Testimony,
which are available either online,
by fax (972-2-644-3579), or email;
central.database@yadvashem.6rg.
