The Leon Levine Foundation Offers
Cliallenge for the 2010 Campaign
The Federation extends a spe
cial thank you to The Leon Levine
Foundation for its extraordinary
support of the 2010 Campaign.
Through a generous challenge
grant, Leon and Sandra Levine
strive to ensure that Federation
will have the necessary resources
to meet the growing needs of the
Jewish community at home and
around the world.
In 2009, the gift from The Leon
Levine Foundation represented
19.3% of our total annual
fundraising dollars. The Levine
Foundation has graciously agreed
to provide the same significant
level of funding for 2010.
This means that every dollar
Federation raises over and above
what was raised last year will be
matched by an additional 19.3%.
We hope every family and
individual in our community will
accept The Leon Levine
Foundation Challenge by increas
ing an existing 2010 pledge or
by making a new meaningful
pledge. ^

This summer, Charlotte will
once again receive a visit from the
Israel Scouts (Tzofim) Friendship
Caravan, a group of young Israeli
scouts who travel all over America
sharing their lives through song,
dance, and story.
Each year, the Caravan visits
hundreds of camps, community
centers, houses of worship, and
schools - and performs for nearly
100,000 people. Please join us as
they bring the music and culture of
Israel right to our doorstep.
The Friendship Caravan is ener
getic, musical, and great for all
ages. This exciting program is
being co-sponsored by the Jewish
Federation of Greater Charlotte,
the Levine JCC, Temple Israel,
