Holocaust Historian to Speak March 29 at Temple Beth El
World-renowned Holoeaust
historian Christopher Browning
will speak at Temple Beth El on
Thursday, Mareh 29 at 7:30 PM
on “Holoeaust History and
Survivor Testimony.” The event is
free and open to the publie.
Browning will draw from his
most reeent book, Remembering
Survival: Inside a Nazi Slave
Labor Camp (2010), an award
winning study of life and death in
a little-known Nazi slave-labor
eamp in Poland based on testi
monies of some 300 survivors.
Browning is the Frank Porter
Graham Professor of History at
the University of North Carolina
at Chapel Hill. He has been an
expert witness at various trials of
aeeused Nazi eriminals in
Australia, Canada and the United
