Looking Back and Looking
Forward
By Patricia Johnson, president,
Charlotte Chapter of Hadassah
As we look to eelebrate a New
Year, I’m eompelled to look baek
into the past to appreeiate the vast
legaey of Hadassah. Our mem
bership has grown, we have new
programs and we have a elear
foeus in our mission. However,
the early fundamentals remain
the same: to help heal the world,
promote Jewish and Zionist edu-
eation and bring in a new genera
tion of Jewish women remain the
key goals.
Hadassah’s lifesaving initia
tives, supporting Hadassah hospi
tals, women’s health eare,
edueation and espeeially for the
eritieal medieal researeh that
Hadassah’s Medieal Organization
(“HMO”) eonduets.
In building and maintaining
Hadassah’s initiative, we do more
than help others. Our aetivism,
our learning from one another,
and our leadership development
yield enormous benefits not only
for Hadassah but also for the

individuals.
Our members have been and
eontinue to be graeious and gen
erous. As a vibrant and respon
sive organization, we have great
plans for the future and this year,
as always, we need your help. I
want to eneourage all our mem
bers to take a step further in sup
port of Hadassah and beeome
annual givers.
As you look forward to eele-
brating a New Year we hope you
eonsider making a eommitment
to Hadassah.
Best Wishes for a Sweet and
Fruitful New Year.
