Annual Spring Leeture sponsored

be held on Thursday, Mareh 27 at
Temple Beth El and will feature

iehl.
The Spring Leeture is the
largest eampaign and outreaeh
event presented by the Jewish
Federation of Greater Charlotte’s
Women Division.
This year’s Spring Leeture will
feature bestselling author and
eulinary ieon Ruth Reiehl. Reiehl
was the Editor-in-Chief of Gour
met Magazine for ten years, for
mer restaurant eritie for The New
York Times, and author of a trilogy
of aeelaimed best-selling mem
oirs: Tender at the Bone, Comfort
Me with Apples, and Garlic and
Sapphires.
In Garlic and Sapphires, Re
iehl wrote about her adventures as
the undereover dining eritie for
Ruth Reiehl
The New York Times, giving us —
along with some of her favorite
reeipes and reviews — her re
markable refleetions on how one’s
outer appearanee ean influenee
one’s inner eharaeter and ap
petites, not to mention the quality
of serviee one reeeives. But Re
iehl has been a restaurant eritie for
thirty years, and most of the great
tales from the table remain untold.
We hope you will join us for this
unique opportunity to hear one of

ious stories from the front of the
house to the baek of the kitehen.
This year’s Spring Leeture is
eo-ehaired by Randi Lan and
Staeey Sehanzlin. Serving on the
Spring Leeture Committee with
Randi and Staeey are Talli Dip-
pold, Sara Kulbersh, Mallory
Miller, Elaine Moody, Debbie
Porter, Jenny Rosenthal, Lori
Rosenthal, Stephanie Townsend,
and Marisa Zeibert.
The evening will begin with
dinner at 6:30 PM in the Main
Hall at Temple Beth El and the
leeture will take plaee at 8 PM in
the temple sanetuary. A dessert re-
eeption and book signing will fol
low the program. New this year
will be our Strolling Dinner

Spring Leeture tiekets are $40
for the dinner and leeture, or $ 18
for the leeture only. There is a
minimum donation of $50 to the
2014 Jewish Federation Annual
Campaign to attend the event.

eember 2014.
