The Crisis Is New, the Tradition Is Not
Jews have faced crises through
out history. Whenever faced with
emergencies, Jews traditionally
respond with prayer, action, and
adaptability. Today, we are faced
with both a flood of emotions and
a flood of requests for assistance
from our local community.
As is the tradition, the Great
er Charlotte Jewish communi
ty has responded to these needs
with understanding, compassion,
and financial support. But, as is
also a tradition within the Jew
ish community, people need to
participate. The escalation of
COVID-19 calls for a coordinat
ed response to meet the demands
created by this unprecedented
pandemic. And that coordinated
response is the JewishCharlotte
JEV/fSH T®GETHER
Emergency Response Fund.
The JewishCharlotte Emergen
cy Response Fund will be guided
by the Federation and fund indi
viduals, families, and Jewish or
ganizations affected by the pan
demic. The assistance will allow
organizations to preserve their
workforces, and deliver critical
services. 100% of every dollar
raised will go directly to agencies
to meet critical needs.
To help with this important
effort. Please donate at www.
jewishcharlotte.org or mail your
check to Jewish Federation of
Greater Charlotte, 5007 Provi
dence Road, Ste. 101, Charlotte,

Campaign 2020 Powered by You
As Federation continues to
work with our network of benefi
ciary agencies to meet short-term
needs as a result of COVID-19,
our 2020 Annual Campaign con
tinues to insure that we are able to
sustain the recovery once this cri
sis is over and beyond. Federation
is uniquely positioned to manage
overall communal needs by con
vening its partners to identify
and respond to those needs and
ultimately working with the larg
est donor base in the community
to help fund those needs. This is
what Federation does day in and
day out and this is what your An
nual Campaign dollars fund year
in and year out.
Donors to Federation’s Annual
Campaign appreciate the impor
tance of community. Your invest
ment means even more in times
of crises so that we continue to
support those organizations and
programs that make our Charlotte
Jewish community a special place
to live. If you have not already
done so, please make your 2020
Annual Campaign commitment
today at www.jewishcharlotte.org
or mail your donation to Jewish
