Called “a compelling soul singer and a dynamite live performer,” Holiday has worked with a wide range of recording artists like John Waite and Rod Stewart. She’s appeared on “The Rosie O’Donnell Show” and “The David Letterman Show.” Sage, who performed at S.C. Pride 2004, has been described by ftofe Magazine as Finlay Park once again plays host to S.C. Pride. “wildly expressive...moody, edgy folk.” A prize-winning songwriter. Sage has toured with Ani DiFranco and Melissa Ferrick, and played the Lilith Fair with Sarah McLachlan, Sheryl Crow and Suzanne Vega. A perennial regional favorite, Townsend has played for audiences throughout the Southeast. Her skillful guitar playing and powerful voice has been compared to ver satile blues masters Bonne Raitt and Stevie Ray Vaughn. Emcee for this year’s Pride festival is Robin Adell, a popular performer based in Columbia. Adell is often compared to Melissa Etheridge for her rocking guitar style and rich voice. Expect other appear ances by S.C. activist and attorney Harriet Hancock, Palmetto Umoja’s Robert-Jon Hinojosa and Pat Patterson, a local busi ness owner and performer.
