Training at the event will put participants in a position to help make 2008 the Year to Win for LGBT individuals across the country. Elections for 2008 include ones for a new president, aE U.S. House members, one-third of the U.S. Senate and thousands of state legislators. EquaEty Camp can help participants learn how to become more effective at advocating causes and candidates. Two tracks are available, depending upon individual experience. The Fundamentals Track is designed to give one a step-by-step primer necessary to be suc cessful at the grassroots level. Topics include planning, recruitment, volunteer coordinating, event fundraising, earned media and creating a local activist plan. Learn the basic skills that are essentialto putting campaign issues or local committees in the best position to win. The Advanced Track is for the more sea soned activist or campaign professional.
