Charlotte goes for Gaga Annual Music Issue Lady Gaga is rolling into town. You know what that means: the entire gay community is going to go crazy. A party here, a party there, some cocktails and spritzers and then off to the concerti Before the show, go Goo Goo for GAGA, Takeover Charlotte's pre-party, atthe Breakfast Club. Dance and drink with fellow Little Monsters before going to what Takeover's Dan Mauney calls the "biggest event in Charlotte in a long, long time." Giveaways and inexpensive drinks are sure to make this party a blast for all its Gaga monsters in attendance. Be sure to wear your best costume and maybe you can be the winner of the Best Original GAGAIicious Costume Contest. The party is free and open to everyone (even if you're not going to the concert) and it starts at 5 p.m. After you've gotten your fill of Lady Gaga atthe con cert, you can't miss the Off White Party atthe Visulite Theatre. In case it hasn't already crossed your mind, the Lady Gaga concert will be the same night of the annual White Party. That's why partners and owners of JustTwirl.com (the name is actually derived from a Lady Gaga song) Zuny Johnson and Jason McCrall are mak ing this year's Off White Party "Monster-Size" with the goal to "bring the community together," says Johnson. He says the party will be "'Alice in Wonderland' meets 'Honey, I Shrunk the Kids.'" San Francisco DJ Craig Gaibler will hold the reigns of the music for the party. Other entertainment includes performance group Basic Instinct. Also open to every one 18+, the party starts at 10 p.m. and continues until 2:30 a.m. For more detailed event listings see our Q Events Calendar on page 23.:: — by Tyler DeVere:: tdevere@goqnotes.com
