The Relief Fund from which benefits
are paid is provided by contributions
from employees that are working on an
hourly basis, and an equal contribution
from the Company. No salaried em
ployee is eliRible. From each employee,
or member, as they are called, the sum
of twenty-five cents per month is
charged, and the Company contributes to
this fund an amount equal to that paid
by the members. All collections are
made by the Relief Agent, and deposited
in the Rank of Radin, subject to his
check, when countersigned by the Gen
eral Superintendent.
All employees contributing to this
fund are known as members of the
Tallassee Power Company Relief De
partment, and any member in good stand
ing on the payroll of the Tallassee Power
Company, who has been in the service
two consecutive weeks, is in gxx»d stand
ing with the Relief Department, provid
ed he has not indicated to the Relief
Agent that he does not desire member
ship in the Department.
In order that the Department may be
handled in an efficient manner, it is very
important that the Relief Department be
notified promptly in case of sickness or
accident, so that the Relief Committee
may be instructed to wait on the unfor
tunate members, as payment for disabil
ity is made from reports of the Relief
Committee, and benefits are figured
from the day of report.

A Friend’s Sympathy
Here is a letter from a former Badinite
to one of our present “family,” who re
cently passed thru a great .sorrow and
bereavement. The many friends of both
will read it with interest and kindred
s>Tnpathy.

Mr. B. H. Wallace
Badin, N. C.
Dear Friend Wallace:—1 received a
copy of The Badin Bulletin a couple
of days ago, and was certainly very sorry
to learn of your great sorrow. Having
so recently been called to come thru the
same experience, I know how little words
or letter can relieve your feelings, but it
