NORTH BADIN, N. C. 31 FISHING ON LAKE TALLASSEE Greensboro, N. C. I have read the BULLETIN with interest. I commend the communication to our students, and I shall be very glad to help you in any way I can. Very cordially yours JAMES P. DUDLEY President Negro A. & T. College Winston-Salem, N. C. I have read the release referred to in your letter, and I was especially struck with this sentence: “Only intelligent and self-respecting workers are employed, and the married men are given the preference. Colored leaders, in co-opera tion with the Company, have succeeded in almost eliminating drunkenness and other vices.” This sentence indicates that you have a standard which guarantees character in your employees, and if this standard is maintained I have not the least doubt that there are great things ahead for BADIN, both industrially and socially. Yours very sincerely S. G. ATKINS Principal The State Normal School Lexington, N. C. Indeed I was not aware that there existed such a place so near by. The early reputation of it was of quite a dif ferent nature, making the present condition there more note worthy. Very truly yours DR. .1. R. HAWKINS We are very glad indeed to know that Race relations are so satisfactory in BADIN. Very truly yours N. N.
