Saturday, March 13, 1943 March of Time in Action THE FAMED CAMERA of the March of Time was focused on Pre- Flight activities here during the past week by this movie crew of five. The action camera of the well known monthly feature is cover ing the local Pre-Flight program for a film on the wartime training of American youth. Four of the quintet shown are servicemen who will be sent to combat areas of the world to make movies of actual battle scenes soon as they learn the March of Time technique of doing things. Among the well known sports figures who completed the course and have been assigned elsewhere See NEW OFFICERS, page U Navy Hall Opens As Recreation Spot for Cadets The new office building, which was officially opened this past week, will be known in the future as “Navy Hall.” Located adjacent to Stacy Dor mitory and on Country Club Road, this building is the headquarters for the Office of Public Relations, the Cloudbuster, and the Post Office. Two large rooms on the first floor are fitted out as a lounge, meeting place, and recreation room for the Cadets. There ai^e two large fire places, and the rooms are furnished with red, brown, and green leather upholstered chairs and divans. Table and floor lamps are conveniently located. Writing and game tables are part of the equipment. Here the Cadets may meet their friends and relatives, and relax in a comfortable club-like atmos phere. The stand of Colors of this Naval Station are kept in the main reception room, and directly in front of the entrance is hung the mural painting, created by Cadet Gene Aiello of the Thirteenth Bat talion, which typifies the physical training program of the U. S. Navy Pre-Flight Schools. The building is now open for use. Academic Hews Instructors Commissioned Three civilian instructors of the academic department — Edward Cameron, John Reynolds and J. G. Wall—will enter the next indoc trination course for new V-5 of ficers beginning here March 18.
