Cloudbusters Seek
Fourth Straight
Today at Virginia
This afternoon at 1500 the
Cloudbusters will be seeking their
tourth straight victory—this time
against the University of Virginia
at Charlottesville.
Led by Cadet Wally Schumach
er, who will be starting at left
end and who will be acting as team
captain, the Cloudbusters will be
heavy favorites. However, it
might be well to mention that the
Cavaliers have one of the better
college teams in the South, and
they’ll be out to upset the highly
rated Pre-Flighters.
Scouting reports on the Virgi
nia team have caused Cloudbuster
coaches much concern. Through
out the past week the “B” team
scrimmaged against the varsity
using Virginia plays. They had
uncanny luck throughout, es
pecially on passing.
Likely to start for Virginia will
be Ward Speer and Hank Walker
at the ends, Joe Kirkland and Ru
fus Roberts at the tackles, Bruce
Wood and John Meador at the
guards, and Buck Palmer at cen
ter.
Allen Clay, Charlie Ellis and
Joe McCary will all take turns
calling signals for the varsity,
while Lucien Burnett and Whitey
Michels will alternate at fullback.
Halfback standouts include John
Duda, Dick Davis, Frank Good
man, and Clyde Johnson.
Several changes have been
made in the Cloudbuster starting
lineup. Walter Schumacher will
start at left end in place of War-
