Football Here
Pre-Flight cadets will not
Want for football this afternoon
just because the Cloudbusters
^■re playing in Georgia. The
University of North Carolina
meets William and Mary in
Kenan Stadium, and all cadets
are admitted free, as guests of
the University, through Gate
located on the South side of
the stadium near the West end.
The only means of identifica
tion required will be the regu-
ar uniform of the day.
Cadets accompanied b y
SUests should purchase tickets
for the guests at Gate 6. After
t^ey enter the stadium they
^ay sit with their guests. The
Kickoff is slated for 1430.
Naples, Italy—Comdr. John P.
Graff, USN (Ret.), former Com
manding Officer of the U. S. Navy
Pre-Flight School at Chapel Hill,
has been awarded the Bronze Star
Medal for his services in directing
a beach battalion during an am
phibious operation in Southern
France last August, it was an
nounced this week.
The award was authorized by
the Commanding General, U. S.
Seventh Army, in the name of the
President, and presented at a
Mediterranean port by Vice Ad
miral H. Kent Hewitt, USN, Com
mander of the U. S. Eighth Fleet.
Comdr. Graff, according to the
citation, “personally directed and
organized the flow of traffic over
the beach, enabling record quanti
ties of men and material to suc
cessfully land, thereby contribut-

Revenge Sought
By Skycrackers
Today At Athens
The battle of the Pre-Flight
Schools of Georgia and North
Carolina will continue this after
noon at Athens, Georgia, when
the Cloudbusters tangle with the
Skycrackers in a return game.
Previously this year the two
teams played in Kenan Stadium
with the locals coming out on top,
3 to 0, thanks to Buell St. John’s
field goal with seven seconds of
play time remaining.
On the whole the Cloudbusters
will be in better condition this
afternoon than they were in their
previous game. Backs Frank As-
chenbrenner and G. V. Fellabaum,
who have been on the sidelines
for the past month, will be ready
to aid Otto Graham, Stan Koslow-
ski and Bill Wilson in their bid
for a second victory. It was As-
chenbrennner who scored the win
ing touchdown (on a lateral from
Graham) against the Naval Aca
demy. Fellabaum, a fullback, did
outstanding work against Cherry
Point and Duke.
Just what will happen this af
ternoon remains a question mark,
but it is certain the Skycrackers
will be out for revenge. The game
played here saw the visitors do-
