It may be a vacant lot with make-shift diamond, a few potato sack or rocks for bases, a handful of torn and battered gloves, and a beaten up baseball. Better perhaps, it may be a smooth diamond complete with umpire, uniforms, good gloves and a d(^|en new balls. Whichever it is, it’s baseball to the kids. Baseball and boys. . . . boys and baseball, the two are inseparable. They go together as neatly as ham ’n eggs. That is the springtime picture of boys’ baseball at Firestone Textiles where boys 16 and undei' are especially encouraged to engage in the game. The competition is keen and spirits high. It’s play ball every spare moment for the boys. Who knows. . . . from our players may come a future Ted Williams, Stan Musial or Bob Feller! You are invited to see baseball ai our own park, or at any of the playgrounds and parks on which our boys will be playing base ball this summer. And if your boy doesn’t play, why not suggest that he join one of the following teams; Little League, Little Bigger League, Saiilaiiis ui Midgets.'The'eXpeiieiiCii vVill be gooJ Tut liotii of you.
