Mash burn of Route 3, Gastonia, has recently been promoted to First Lieutenant. Lt. Mashburn is an Electronics Instructor at Har- linger Air Force Base, Texas. COLLINS PFC. JAMES L. DEAL FORMER employee Fred Deal, Jr., son of Twister Tender Fred Deal, has recently returned to the United States from Korea. Following a 30-day leave at home he will return to duty at Pearl Harbor. BEDDINGFIELD wMMm, GLENN BEDDINGFIELD, son of Mrs. Juanita Beddingfield, re spooler, has completed boot training at San Diego, Calif., and will remain there for additional training for 18 months. BENTLEY STOWE POSEY A/3C BRUCE L. BENTLEY worked in the Spinning Depart ment prior to entering service. CHARLES POSE Y, brother of Drawing Hauler Wil bur Posey, has completed basic training and is stationed at Camp Pendleton, Calif. His com plete address is: I Co., 1st PLT., 2nd Inf. Training Regt., Marine Brks., Camp Pendleton. POSEY ALFRED G. CRAWFORD DC/3, an employee in the Shop before entering the Navy, re cently spent a leave with his par ents, Millwright and Mrs. J. N. Crawford, at Route 1, Kings Mountain. Alfred, who has serv ed three years in the Navy, em barked on a Pacific cruise after his visit here. CPL. BILLIE V. POSEY, an other brother of Wilbur Posey of the Carding Department, is ex pecting his discharge from the Army in January. His present address is: RA 14-345-613, Btry. B, 198th P. A. Bn., Fort Benning, Georgia. A/3C FLOYD RHYNE is the son of Speeder Tender Robert Rhyne. He has been in service two years and is a teletype operator in Germany at present. His address is: A. F. 14-390-949, APO 69, c/o PM, New York, N.Y. PFC. THOMAS .J. STOWE, son of Mrs. Grace Stowe, yarn check er, has 'been joined in Europe by his wife, the former Rachel Kay Reid. ALLEN RHYNE CPL. THEODORE BRYSON was a lap man in the Carding De partment before entering service in 1948. He is the son of Clarence Bryson of that department.
