Mrs. Francis Bass, daughter of Mrs. Ellen Dixon, respooler, is a patient at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, N. C. MISS MARY ROSE FOY, daughter of Employees Edgar and Hazel Foy, has completed her pre-nursing course at Wof ford College and plans to enter Spartanburg General Hospital School of Nursing September 6. Gary Lyles has been transferred to the first shift Weaving from the second shift. Kenneth Bradshaw called his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dillard Bradshaw, by telephone from California. Mr. Bradshaw is serv ing on the U.S.S. Wasp and will sail for a tour of duty in Japan September 1. Mrs. Ruby Barton of Aiken, S. C., is visiting her sister, Mrs. Augustine Capps, Weaving De partment. Betty Cloninger and family spent their vacation at Carolina Beach. SHOP Alfred G. Crawford and his wife, the former Miss Cornelia Gantt, arrived from Astoria, Ore gon, recently. Mr. Crawford, a former Shop employee, was sta tioned with the Pacific Fleet in Astoria and has received his dis charge. Mr. Crawford is the son of Millwright James N. Crawford. Mr. and Mrs. Crawford visited the Yellowstone National Park, Red Wood Forests, Salt Lake City and many other places on their way home. Lathe Operator T. H. Harold Umstott, engineer from Akron, Ohio, conducted the prayer services recently at the West End Methodist Church. Mr. Umstott, also, taught the Men’s Bible Class on Sunday. Plumber Lowery Davis and Mrs. Davis visited in Virginia during their vacation. Sanitary Foreman Alvin Dill and Mrs. Dill spent four days at the Wesleyan Methodist Church Conference in Califax, N. C. From there, they visited in Boone and saw the drama, “Horn in the West.” Draftsman Billy Gamble spent his vacation in Washington, D. C. Mrs. W. G. Henson, Jr., and her son, W. G., Ill, have returned to the city from Florida, where Mr. Henson is stationed in the Air Force. Sgt. Henson, son of Plant Engineer W. G.
