Distribu tion is essentially through independent tire dealers. The Firestone Stores enjoyed a year of satisfactory sales and profits and gave service to the public and to thousands of dealers. Above is the new store opened during the year on Firestone Parkway in Akron. It is two to three times larger than the average service store and sells the complete line of Firestone merchandise. ALL EMPLOYEES, regardless of their jobs, had special opportunities during the year to help “Sell Firestone.’^ A typical campaign was conducted at the Memphis plant, where office and plant employees assisted five local company stores with a successful Sale-O-Rama.
